ABOUT KAILIS BROS

George Palassis Kailis arrived in Western Australia from the tiny Greek island of Kastellorizo in 1914, bringing with him the proud seafaring history of his people. In 1926, George was selling fresh fish from a basket in Perth, when he found employment in an inner city fish shop which he eventually took over in 1936.

The shop, trading as GP Kailis & Sons, became a landmark in Barrack Street Perth, where it stayed until March 1990. In 2000 Kailis Bros established state of the art award winning premises in Oxford Street Leederville.

Since its humble beginnings the family business has now expanded to service the seafood needs of Australia and the world over. Its head office and processing and distribution operation in Canning Vale is recognised as one of Australia's premier food service facilities.

Offices on Australia's eastern seaboard and representation in all continents around the world make Kailis Bros truly a global business, true to the family ideals of quality, service and value.
